Sony’s 8K Sensor has HFR & Global Shutter

We saw an interesting article from Y.M. Cinema about an 8K class industrial sensor from Sony. The article makes it clear that the sensor is not intended for cinema use. It has high refresh with global shutter operation (avoiding rolling shutter problems) but limited dynamic range compared to cinematic sensors. Still, as the article explains, it shows that sensors are evolving to the point where HFR 8K is available with a global shutter.
