Sony Adds New Burano 8K Camera
Sony has added a new 8K camera in its Cine Alta professional range, the Burano. It follows on from the successful Venice product but is intended to be lighter and smaller. The camera has a 41.9 megapixel full frame 35mm sensor and can store video data in Sony’s XAVC H format which uses the H.265 HEVC codec. As can be seen in the graphic, Sony and Intel are working together to ensure real time processing of 8K from the camera.
