Skyworth Introduces 8K STB

Skyworth Digital announced the launch of the first-of-its-kind commercial 8K STB in partnership with China Mobile earlier this month. The companies will roll out 40,000 units in the He Nan province of China in 2024. Moreover, China Mobile and Skyworth are also planning to expand this 8K device to other provinces.

The STB features a “4GB+64GB” configuration and the device supports Dolby Vision+Dolby Atmos technology.

China is continuing to drive the adoption of the latest 8K technology.
