Intel Lunar Lake Adds 8K60P Support

Jon Peddie Research reports that Intel’s new Lunar Lake display engine can drive up to 8K60 HDR using HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 2.1, or up to three monitors at 4K60 HDR.

This news, combined with the news that Apple’s new M4-based iMac can also support 8K external displays should significantly add to the potential for more 8K desktop monitors to come to market. Regular readers will remember that TCL CSOT showed an 8K notebook panel at Display Week in 2024.
