Cedia Panel Highlights 8K Content
At the Cedia Expo in Denver. Colorado, the 8K Association sponsored a panel on the Smart Stage that talked about ‘Understanding the Content Perspective’ for 8K.
The panel was moderated by Des Carey, Global Head of Cinematic Innovation, Samsung who talked to:
- Greg Ciaccio, Senior Director, Post Production Original Content & Image Capture, IMAX
- Dominic Glynn, Senior Scientist, Pixar
- Paul Breen, Senior Director, Playback, Sphere Entertainment Company
Topics included the changes post-Covid and the chance that gave to re-think how to tell stories more effectively and the change in immersion with bigger displays, enabled in part by the boost to 8K resolution.
