Hildebrandt Clarifies Importance of Format Choice
In a Linkedin post, Dirk Hildebrandt, who we recently interviewed, highlighted the importance of choosing the right format for storing video. This has become especially important because of the cost of uploading lightly compressed content for cloud processing.
In commenting on the interview, Pawel Achtel highlighted a blog post which shows the results of actual MTF measurements on a range of video cameras. This highlights the challenge of being sure of the true resolution of images, and not just the number of photosites on camera sensors.
