HDMI Shows 8K 120Hz at Computex

In a vlog on YouTube, HDMI showed a Samsung TV running at 8K with 120Hz refresh rate, using HDMI 2.1 at the recent Computex event in Taipei. The 8K Association showed a similar set at the recent NAB 2025 event, although this was with a live gaming PC. Although we often see reports that HDMI cannot yet support this, HDMI 2.1b with DSC compression can support the format. HDMI also said in the video that HDMI 2.2 should be here later this year.
