AV1 Decoding Catching up with H.264?
A post on LinkedIn from video encoder developer, Two Orioles, has suggested that AV1 can now be decoded as quickly as H.264. The firm said that the open source Dav1d decoder, collaborated on by Two Orioles, VideoLabs and MultiCoreWare, is markedly faster than other open-source AV1 decoders.
