Apple Develops 8K Stereo Camera – but You Can’t Buy It
Apple has launched its first ‘made for the Vision Pro’ content, a short movie ‘Submerged‘ made with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Edward Berger. The film is shot in a submarine – a perfect space for the stereo headset as close up items on screen make depth processing more apparent (and little is far away in that space!). Apple used its own stereo camera, but it’s unclear if Apple will actually allow anybody to buy the device. We do know that Apple is working with Blackmagic Design on their dual 8K stereo camera based on their 17K device.
