AMD Highlights 8K at ISE 2025

AMD said that at ISE 2025, it would highlight a number of high end applications using its FPGA technology. 8K related topics included

• VESA DSC – New Display Stream Compression IP from Alma Technologies running in conjunction with HDMI™ 2.1 IP from AMD.
• DisplayPort™ 2.1 – Full UHBR20 support with new redriver/retimer FMCs from Parretto.
• VPSS and VMIX on AMD Versal™ AI Edge Series – Bespoke design showcasing both 4K and 8K video processing as well as our hardened video decode unit (VDU).
• LED Wall Processing –  Demonstrating ultra-thin Ventana™ MicroLED tiles driven by a  Megapixel HELIOS™ LED processor, underlying AMD FPGAs enable support of 8K+ HDR, 100Gb and ST 2110 for residential, broadcast and virtual production applications.
• LED Wall Processing – Based on AMD FPGAs, a product showcase of NovaStar’s MX2000 Pro 8K LED processor driving the main LED wall on the stand.
