Pixera Powers Huge Video Wall for Oscar Winnning Virtual Production
Austrian server developer Pixera supported a huge LED-based video wall for a virtual production on the set of ‘Poor Things’ which went on to win four Academy Awards at this year’s Oscars after receiving 11 nominations. The set had a ‘staggering’ 23K (23,040px × 3840px) resolution, driven by four servers. The technical details are surprizing:
- 600m² (60m × 10m) of INFiLED INTI 2.6mm LED wall
- more than 1,500 amplifiers (outputting a peak power of 360kW)
- 5.5km of cabling
- Weight of more than 21 tonnes!
