8K in Sports Video is Growing
Although the title from Sports Video Group talks only about 4K, a recent article that reported a ’round table’ of comments from a number of camera makers that supply professional sports broadcasters covers formats including 8K (although you will have to scroll down a bit!). There is clear interest in the format from progressive broadcasters. The article is an interesting look at ‘the state of the art’ and highlights the time taken for new formats to penetrate the finance-constrained broadcasting world.
